The Chameleon

The Chameleon is a unique take on the projector. Two laser cut acrylic inserts make multiple positions possible for the projection. The inserts provide an opportunity for the use of a textile element for mounting or adding textures and colours. The Chameleon emphasizes customization, allowing the projector to become part of an installation or exhibition rather than something hidden or separate. The laser cut inserts are an open source modality where anyone with access to a laser cutter could get a pair cut to suite the needs of their projections. This project aims to give back to the creative commons.
